Hola Beauty lovers!!
Being born & brought up in a typical Indian family were Grandmas are more into DIY beauty treatments than the market ones have actually made me dig into kitchen for beauty recipes every now and then. And I’m so happy that I do it on a regular basis.
So today’s blog is about one such ingredient, I have mentioned about it earlier in my Beauty hacks post too.. The supa ingredient is ‘Green Tea’. From past 7-8 months, green tea for me is not just a relaxing drink but lot more than that.. Okay without any further suspense I will share how I use green tea in my hair treatments.
Green tea contains caffeine, nutrients and is an excellent source of anti oxidant which helps to stimulate the hair follicles and promotes hair growth.
- Hair Growth Mask : Mix matcha green tea powder, castor oil and coconut oil together. Apply it on hair 30 mins before hair wash. Try this hair mask once a week for healthy hair.
- Egg Mask : Mix egg white, green tea powder and 3 tsp coconut oil and mix well. Let the mask set for 30 mins and wash it off with a mild shampoo. Apply this mask once a month for smooth & shiny hair.
- Green Tea Rinse : Boil green tea leaves, small piece of cinnamon, lime peel & 2 cloves. Let the ingredients boil for around 5 mins & then let it cool down. Once it cools down, strain the mixture & keep aside. After shampoo & conditioner use the mixture as a final rinse . Pour the green tea mixture on to your hair and leave it for 5 mins. Rinse off with cold water. Use this every time you have a hair wash for healthy & less tangled hair.
- Hair spray : Boil green tea for 3 mins, strain and let it cool down. Mix 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel in it and mix well. Pour it in a travel size spray bottle and use it as a after shower hair spray.
